We have been developing a mobility concept for the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) since the end of last year. Starting with a detailed analysis of the accessibility of the various locations in Nuremberg, Fuerth and Erlangen, we then conducted a mobility survey on the current mobility behaviour of employees and students. From the results obtained, we were able to draw up both a greenhouse gas balance for the mobility sector for the year 2023 and the potential savings that could be made by shifting from cars to eco-mobility. In a workshop we held on 2 July 2024 with internal and external stakeholders, initial concrete measures were developed at five themed tables.
