Easing of road traffic from motorised individual transport is essentially dependent on strengthening non-motorised individual transport. Cycling is carbon-neutral, healthy and offers the benefits of a small footprint, which is why it is gaining momentum as an essential component of integrated traffic policies. Concepts for bicycle usage are aimed at enhancing bicycle usage to ensure higher safety levels and creating a sustainable and appealing bicycle infrastructure.
